“Talk To Me Nicely” was my final graduation project during my studies at the Willem de Kooning Academy. The project was positioned around humanizing interactions with Large Language Models (LLMs) through the use of natural language in a digestable and simple to use card game. I aimed to simplify communication with LLMs, using a retro style and a personified Chat-GPT caricature.
The project's card format breaks down strategies and insights on modern language models for better understanding. As language models become integral in our lives, the project strives to guide users in effectively engaging with technology using natural language. This research-driven endeavor also uncovers the gap between user perceptions and AI capabilities, shedding light on the need for informed interactions. The project's essence lies in promoting intuitive conversations between humans and machines.
