I had the privilege of creating a short documentary in collaboration with Google, spotlighting Champions Place, a group home for adults with disabilities. Partnering with Google and Deep Dive Films, we followed Ryan's inspiring journey as he ventured out of his home for the very first time.
As part of this effort, Google donated smart technology to Champions Place, enhancing the residents’ ability to live with greater ease and independence.
Over the course of three days, we captured the backstory, move-in, and day-to-day moments, gathering a rich collection of visuals and sound bites from residents, families, and staff.
A distinctive element of this production was its largely remote nature, with the Google team participating via Zoom. Given the health concerns of the residents, it was essential to keep our on-site crew to a minimum.
The video received an overwhelmingly positive response from audiences around the world.
THIS is what technology was meant to be created, make people's lives easier, nice video, there should be more places like this."
What a beautiful video. Thank you, Google. You did it again!"
