A short documentary produced with the Wounded Warrior Project. Dan Nevins is an inspirational speaker, U.S. Army veteran, and double amputee who has impacted countless lives through his story of resilience and personal transformation. A decorated soldier, Dan was severely injured in Iraq in 2004 when an IED (Improvised Explosive Device) exploded beneath his vehicle, leading to the loss of both legs below the knee. We combined a powerful interview to lead the narrative, using Dan’s personal reflections as the emotional core of the story. This was interwoven with a dynamic mix of archival footage and cinematic b-roll, visually driving the narrative forward. The result was a layered, human-centered story that captured both the depth of Dan’s journey and the broader mission of the Wounded Warrior Project.
