🖊️ Project Description

Eyese is a full-featured online eyewear platform selling prescription glasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses from premium brands like Gucci, Ray-Ban, Calvin Klein, and Acuvue. I was brought in to design the complete UX and UI from information architecture and user flows to the final visual interface with a special focus on two innovative features: an AI Vision Assistant and a Virtual Try-On experience.
The core challenge was making online eyewear shopping feel as confident and guided as walking into a physical optical store.

🔨 What I Designed

Full Site UX/UI Designed end-to-end homepage, product listing pages, product detail pages, FAQ, and supporting sections. Every screen was built around reducing friction for both first-time online eyewear shoppers and returning customers.
AI Vision Assistant Designed the UX flow and UI for an AI-powered assistant that recommends frames based on the user's style preferences and suggests lens treatments or expert consultations based on their vision symptoms. This required mapping out a conversational UI flow, decision trees, and result states making complex vision care feel simple and accessible.
Virtual Try-On Designed the onboarding and interaction UI for a virtual try-on feature, allowing users to see frames on their face before buying. Focused on reducing the biggest barrier in online eyewear buying without trying.

⚙️ My Process

1. Research & Problem Definition Identified the two biggest drop-off points in online eyewear shopping uncertainty about fit and uncertainty about prescription needs. These became the north star for the AI Assistant and Virtual Try-On features.
2. Information Architecture Mapped the full site structure to ensure logical flow between browsing, feature discovery, and checkout with clear entry points to the AI and Try-On tools from the homepage and listing pages.
3. User Flows Built detailed flows for both key features the AI Assistant's symptom-to-recommendation journey and the Virtual Try-On's camera-to-frame preview experience before touching visual design.
4. UI Design Applied a clean, trust-building visual system white base, blue accents, strong typography that feels medical-grade yet modern and approachable. Designed a consistent component library covering cards, filters, banners, accordions, and CTAs.
5. Validation & Iteration Refined layouts based on usability considerations ensuring the advanced features (AI, Try-On) were prominently surfaced without overwhelming users who just want to browse and buy.
