Tandoori Flames — Interactive Brand Book for a UAE Restaurant

Tagline: A complete identity system for an Ajman restaurant, delivered as a living web-based brand book — one link the whole team works from, not a PDF buried in an inbox.
The Client
Tandoori Flames is a family restaurant in Al Nakhil, Ajman (UAE), serving North and South Indian, Indo-Chinese, and charcoal-grilled tandoori specialties — with a banquet hall, live sports screens, and a family-first atmosphere. A brand that gets touched dozens of times a day: menus, Instagram posts, signage, delivery platforms, party bookings.
The Challenge
Without a single source of truth, a busy restaurant's identity falls apart fast — the menu printer uses one red, the social designer uses another, and six months later it looks like three different restaurants. Tandoori Flames needed the full identity defined once, clearly enough for any vendor to follow, and accessible enough to open on a phone.

What I Built
A complete brand guidelines system, structured in seven sections:
Brand story & positioning — "Born from fire, served with warmth," anchored in live-charcoal cooking and family gatherings
Logo system — primary, reversed, and Brand Ember versions, with clear space rules, minimum sizes, and an isolated flame mark for avatars and favicons
Color palette — five colors named in the brand's own language: Tandoor Ember, Charcoal Smoke, Golden Turmeric, Cream Naan, and Fresh Mint, each with defined usage roles
Typography — Fraunces for editorial warmth in display, Inter for everyday clarity in menus and captions, with a full type scale from H1 to caption
Iconography & pattern — custom kitchen marks (tandoor, flame, banquet, live sports, pure veg) and a signature Ember Paisley motif
Voice & tone — "Warm. Proud. A little playful." defined through we-are/we're-not lists and ready-to-use copy examples for taglines, hero text, and social captions
Applications — the brand in the wild: business card, menu cover, Instagram post, and illuminated storefront signage

Why a Web-Based Brand Book
PDFs get outdated the day they're exported. This brand book lives at a URL: update it once, and every printer, designer, and social manager is instantly working from the latest version. For a fast-moving restaurant, that's the difference between guidelines that get used and guidelines that get forgotten.

The Outcome
Tandoori Flames now hands one link to any vendor and gets back consistent brand — every menu, post, and sign drawing from the same system. Versioned (v1.0), shareable, and ready to grow with the restaurant.
