The Challenge

ZaxSnax, a family-run business selling natural coconut snack mixes, was about to launch a 30-day cross-country promotional tour to meet YouTuber Ryan Trahan and gain national attention for their brand.
The problem? Their DIY template homepage wasn't ready for the traffic surge. It didn't show what the product actually looked like, how it fit into customers' lives, or why anyone should trust this small brand over established competitors.
With just weeks before launch, we needed a fast homepage refresh that could convert curious visitors into customers.
The Strategy: Rather than a full site overhaul, I focused on the homepage as the critical conversion point. The old site treated the homepage like a brochure—pretty but disconnected. The new design needed to create an emotional connection, build trust quickly, and make buying easy.
Key Improvements:
Hero lifestyle imagery - Showed the product in real-life context (breakfast bowl, healthy snacking) instead of generic product shots
Featured products moved up - Reduced scrolling to purchase from 3 screens to immediate visibility
Brand USPs highlighted - Vegan, gluten-free, natural ingredients front and center
Social proof integrated - Testimonials and UGC photos throughout to build trust fast
Clear value proposition - "Sweet or Savory?" category navigation made product discovery intuitive
The Outcome: The redesigned homepage launched just before their 30-day promotional tour. The site successfully handled increased traffic and positioned ZaxSnax as a professional, trustworthy brand ready to compete nationally.
