Project Overview
Design of a groceries app that launched in Angola, where the users select the grocery store, inserts the products in the cart, a personal shopper receives the order and shops for the groceries, and a motoboy delivers them.
The roles:
- Logo and brand system
- UI/UX design
- Product Management
The idea was to design a very friendly logo and brand system and design the UI of the app with a great UX, for the users to feel welcome and trust the platform to buy their groceries. The client gets to know the name of the person that is shopping the order, and the name of the motoboy that will be delivering the groceries at his doorstep.
Problem & Solution
One of the greatest problems in Angola is traffic. People spend a lot of time in their cars whenever they need to do things like go to work or buy groceries. A second problem is that a big part of the population lives in buildings, so every time a family shops for groceries, it is a very hard process to grab their groceries from the car and carry them to the elevator and inside their homes. So Mais Compras arrived to solve these two big issues. Users will not have to spend 30-40 minutes in their car driving to their favorite grocery store because they can shop directly in the app, & they will get those groceries delivered directly to their doorstep.
The Results
The client felt they had a great app, with a very easy-to-shop and personalized experience. It is a very intuitive search for the products and put them in the shopping cart, then the checkout process is done in 3 simple steps. The app was first introduced to the public in October 2019 and had a very good response from the public.
