Job Title: Architect / Sr. Software Engineer

Summary: Fuel Cell Energy manufactures Fuel Cells as an alternate energy source. There was no software available on the open market that could fit this manufacturer's production scheduling needs, so they constructed a scheduler in-house. However, the software was buggy, difficult to use, and crashed frequently. In addition, it was time-consuming to use. Hence, the decision to rewrite.

 

Actions:

Rewrote the homegrown Project Management System using the latest .NET technology available and best practices.

Accomplishments: 

The effort needed to update the production schedule from 40 hours to less than 1 hour.

The upgraded software was much easier to use and understand. It was more reliable due to the superior quality and robustness.
