Augment – Buy and Sell Shares in Private Companies for $5k in Minutes
Augment, based in Austin, Texas, is a marketplace that enables shareholders, investors, and brokers to trade shares of private companies. It operates similarly to public stock exchanges but focuses on private equity, allowing users to buy and sell shares in companies that haven't yet gone public.

The Problem
Almost two years ago, the co-founders approached me with a request to redesign their product. The original design lacked visuals, had a poor user flow, and didn’t provide an ideal experience.
We aimed to create a platform that users would not only enjoy but also recommend to others.

David redesigned our web app from the ground up. He does great work, is thorough, quick when needed, receptive to feedback, and mostly importantly super easy to work with. He's a master at taking user stories and converting them to refined designs. David is also useful to bounce ideas off of and go into the weeds to snuff out inconsistencies in product requirements. At implementation time as changes inevitably need to be made, David has been flexible to adapt and dynamically reorder priorities to put out a product on time. Current State
With hundreds of daily active users, Augment is growing rapidly. The team is expanding, and we’ve received excellent feedback from our users. In addition to the redesign, I also assist Augment with marketing materials, including pitch decks, announcements, and more.
