Bible Buddy already had an innovative faith-based AI chatbot, but their website told a completely different story. It had a terrible layout, outdated design, poor messaging, and lacked the trust factors needed to convert visitors into users. It wasn’t clear what Bible Buddy did, and it didn’t look or feel credible, leading to low signups and poor engagement.

The client needed a complete overhaul — not just a prettier interface, but a compelling web presence that would tell their story clearly, build trust, and drive conversions.

Since I had already served as the lead app designer, they trusted me to carry the vision forward into the website. I approached the redesign with three priorities in mind: credibility, clarity, and conversion.

My strategy was simple:

Tell the story clearly to help users understand what Bible Buddy is about within seconds.

Build trust and credibility using social proof, testimonials, and founder presence.

Keep everything simple and intuitive, especially for a non-tech-savvy audience.

I used Figma for prototyping and wireframes, Framer for the live development, and Gifcap to create animated screen recordings that show the chatbot in action. I also worked closely with the founder to align with his vision and even added a personal section called “Letter from the Founder” to connect with visitors on a deeper level.

Clarity improved dramatically — visitors now instantly understand what Bible Buddy is.

More trust and engagement — thanks to better storytelling, real testimonials, and animated previews of the app.

Signups exploded — from fewer than 5,000 downloads on the Play Store to over 50,000 downloads, after the redesigned website went live.

The client was thrilled and soon reached out to me again to design another app called Magic Music.

This was my first Framer website project, and it holds a special place in my journey. It taught me the importance of paying attention to details, understanding user emotions, and using tools like Gifcap to add visual storytelling.

Since then, I’ve gone on to redesign over 50 websites, but this project set the foundation. It confirmed what I now always tell founders:
