Jar Opener

To help out the local community, two others and I consulted a group of elderly people for anything that can help them out in their daily lives. Using these ideas, we created a number of concepts, narrowing it down to the jar opener concept based on feasibility, manufacturability and its potential to be marketed to the public.

The material chosen was PMMA due to its low cost. Despite it being a 3D printable plastic, it will be accepted as a recyclable material in the near future at NZ.
