Time to Show My Hand: Fine Art Prints & Storytelling

“Time to Show My Hand” is a self-published Fine Art and Storytelling project that serves as a metaphorical identification of contemporary reality. Instead of a standard portfolio piece, I created a conceptual framework where classic playing card suits decode modern society: Hearts represent love, Diamonds stand for money, Spades symbolize war, and Clubs denote fun.

The core of this project is a written manifesto that acts as Social Commentary. Through thought-provoking Copywriting, I posed questions that challenge societal norms: Why doesn't the king have a crown, and why does the queen prefer lipstick to a scepter?

The narrative explores how we prefer the language of force, shoot ourselves in the head with TV remotes, and close our eyes to real problems while taking smartphone selfies. This strong Editorial Art direction drove the entire Visual Communication strategy.

To bring this written concept into the physical world, I stepped away from purely digital media and focused on traditional craftsmanship. The manifesto's ideas were translated into a series of 9 unique art prints. Utilizing traditional Silkscreening techniques, the prints were produced in a 32x22 cm format on premium, heavily textured Antalis Curious Matter paper. This analog approach allowed the raw, conceptual weight of the storytelling to be felt in the physical texture of the art pieces.
