Custom Deck: Illustration, Packaging & Print

“Time to Show My Hand” is a self-published art project that reimagines a traditional playing-card deck through metaphorical visual storytelling and character design. The work combines hand-drawn illustration, digital artwork, print production, packaging design, and exhibition design into one visual system.

As Art Director and Lead Illustrator, I shaped the creative strategy and concept development from the first sketches through to production. I translated hand-drawn studies into scalable vector graphics in Adobe Illustrator, working with a Wacom tablet and digital illustration tools.

Alongside the card illustrations, I developed the packaging design and DTP production files. The project included 20 packaging variations, paper engineering, and print preparation for HP Indigo digital printing using CMYK and Pantone White channels. I also produced limited-edition art prints through traditional screen printing (silkscreen) on premium textured paper.
