Brand & Web Solutions for RISE's Rice Production Optimization

Vision/Mission RISE is an innovation-driven initiative aimed at transforming rice production in Nigeria by connecting farmers, processors, and buyers through technology, services, and strategic value chain interventions.

Problem Rice farmers and processors in Nigeria face inefficiencies in production, storage, and procurement processes. Key challenges include post-harvest losses due to poor storage infrastructure, limited market access for farmers, fragmented procurement systems, and lack of data-driven decision-making tools in the rice value chain.

Solution/Process I worked with the RISE team to conceptualize and design two core web-based solutions:

My role involved creating a clear product vision, mapping user journeys, designing intuitive user interfaces, and ensuring the brand communication aligned with RISE’s mission of empowering the rice value chain. The process included research into existing agricultural systems, stakeholder interviews, and iterative design sprints to deliver a user-centric experience.

Result The products positioned RISE as a forward-thinking player in agricultural innovation. The Inventory Management System reduced tracking errors and improved paddy turnover efficiency, while the Procurement Platform increased direct farmer-to-buyer transactions. These solutions laid the groundwork for RISE’s expansion into more value chain optimization tools and services.
