Overview
A local barber shop approached me to create their first-ever website, aiming to establish an online presence as they looked to grow their client base. With no prior website, they needed a modern, clean landing page that would effectively showcase their services, create a professional online identity, and attract new customers.

Design Overview
The objective was to design a simple, yet compelling landing page that represents the barber shop’s brand while being easy for users to navigate. The design focused on highlighting their services and showcasing their expertise without overwhelming visitors. As this was their first website, we prioritised a streamlined, easy-to-use experience with a strong call-to-action to drive engagement.
Challenges
Without an existing website or brand identity online, the biggest challenge was establishing a professional and visually appealing digital presence from scratch. The landing page needed to quickly convey their business offerings, brand personality, and trustworthiness to potential clients in a way that was both simple and effective.
My Role
As the lead designer, I was responsible for:
• Creating the visual design of the landing page, ensuring it captured the essence of the barber shop’s brand.
• Defining the content strategy to effectively highlight their services and make a strong first impression.
• Designing a user-friendly layout with clear calls-to-action, guiding visitors to take the next steps.
• Delivering the page on Framer, ensuring it was responsive and visually appealing on all devices.
Process
1. Discovery and Research
With no previous website to reference, I worked closely with the client to understand their business, target audience, and the key elements they wanted to emphasise. This involved researching local competitors and establishing a design direction that felt fresh and inviting.
2. Wireframing
I created wireframes to map out the layout of the page. The focus was on simplicity, ensuring the page was easy to navigate and the information was clear. Key sections like services, contact details, and social proof were emphasised to encourage potential clients to reach out.
3. Design
After finalising the wireframes, I designed the landing page, focusing on modern aesthetics with bold visuals and typography that aligned with the shop’s brand. The design highlighted their services and included clear, easy-to-find contact information and social media links.
4. Final Adjustments and Feedback
Throughout the process, I worked with the client to ensure the design matched their vision. Feedback loops were used to adjust visual elements and copy, ensuring the final product aligned with their goals.
Results
The landing page went live, successfully meeting the client’s goals:
• A professional, modern first website that establishes their online presence.
• Clear communication of their services and brand identity to attract local customers.
• Positive feedback from the client, who was excited to begin driving online traffic and promoting their business.
