brand identity and website for berlin based virtual production studio DARK BAY.

in order to create a strategic and compelling branding for this high tech production service company, we looked deeper into the business model, the market and environment, defined the key target audience and the brand archetype.

based on their two contrasting brand values, high technology and aesthetic image quality we developed two according color palettes, typography system and pairings and a logo that matches the DARK ecosystem (netflix showrunner, film production company and virtual production studio).

based on different user journeys and target group demands we designed the user experience (UX) for the website, including writing headlines and copy for the sections, curating and generating images and developing the frontend with wordpress and elementor.

we created a landing page as a main hub to offer an overview and a gateway to differnt sections throughout the page, further pages exploring creative possibilities and technological capabilities from various angles. to illustrate the rather complex technology used with this virtual production method, we integrated scroll based 3D animations that let the user discover and explore how a virtual shooting works.
