The Challenge
Stew Leonard’s was launching a new in-store product: Authentic Chicharrón, inspired by the Vice President’s mother’s traditional family recipe. They needed a promotional video that not only showcased the product’s appeal but also conveyed its cultural roots, customer excitement, and the store’s lively environment—all while staying on-brand.
My Role
As the lead video creator and editor, I was responsible for shaping the story, capturing the in-store energy, and delivering a high-quality video that could be used for both internal promotion and social media.
Tools Used
CapCut – for quick mobile edits and transitions
Adobe Premiere Pro – for main video sequencing and polishing
Adobe After Effects – for subtle motion graphics and text overlays
The Approach
I crafted a video that blended product storytelling with real-time customer reactions. Filming on-site, I captured dynamic shots of the product, the team behind the scenes, and engaging moments from customers tasting the chicharrĂłn for the first time. I then layered it with warm lighting, cultural undertones, and vibrant music to reflect the authenticity of the recipe and the festive vibe of the store.

Delivered a visually engaging promotional video ready for launch day
Helped drive awareness and in-store foot traffic during the launch week
Received internal praise for balancing cultural authenticity and brand identity
