Elevating the Candle Packaging Experience
The Client
At LD Shoppe, A renowned destination for decor and furniture enthusiasts, LD Shoppe committed to curating exceptional experiences especially through their exclusive candle collections. With a focus on quality and sustainability, the candles are meticulously sourced from Canadian artisans who share their passion for craftsmanship. Each candle is made of sustainable soy wax, hand-poured in Vancouver by their trusted partner, BRAND & IRON. LD Shoppe takes pride in offering their customers unique fragrances that transport them to moments of tranquility and connection with nature. This endeavor to offer exclusive candles complements LD Shoppe's core mission of providing exceptional decor and furniture options to their discerning clientele.
One of the exciting projects involved collaborating with BRAND & IRON to create distinctive packaging for the Morning Mist and Forest Bathing candles. These candles capture the essence of serene mornings and therapeutic forest experiences. We wanted our packaging to reflect the same level of craftsmanship and quality that our customers expect from our candles. Morning Mist Scent Notes: Eucalyptus, Grapefruit, Cedarwood Forest Bathing Scent Notes: Bergamot, Musk, Sandalwood
The Objective
Elevating the Candle Packaging Experience
I took on a comprehensive packaging design project for LD Shoppe's exclusive candle collection, going beyond graphic design to bring our vision to life. I worked closely with a team of a Creative Director and a Product Developer to ensure the success of this packaging project.
Packaging Design Tasks
Main Task for
- Concept Ideation: Initiated the project by brainstorming and ideating various conceptual directions to encapsulate the essence of LD Shoppe's exclusive candles.
- Multiple Design Iterations: Executed numerous design variations, exploring diverse visual elements, color schemes, and structural possibilities to refine and narrow down the most compelling concepts.
- Revision Process: Incorporated feedback and iteratively revised designs to ensure they aligned perfectly with the brand's identity, target audience, and the collaborative vision with Brand & Iron.
- Mockup Development for Testing: Created detailed mockups that accurately represented the final product, facilitating testing and evaluation to guarantee the packaging met aesthetic and functional standards.
- Coordination with Brand & Iron: Collaborated seamlessly with Brand & Iron throughout the process, ensuring that the packaging design harmonized with their brand while creating a unique identity for LD Shoppe's exclusive candle.
- Production Team Collaboration: Worked closely with production teams, providing necessary specifications and guidance for the successful execution of the final packaging design.
