Nelle's main focus was to strategically rebrand Olaplex US's image on social media platforms, with a special emphasis on TikTok and Instagram. To achieve this, she collaborated closely with a talented team of content creators, ensuring that their ideas aligned with Olaplex's brand values and aesthetics. Each month, Nelle lead the production of captivating TikTok videos, designed to engage and resonate with the target audience.
During this rebranding journey, Olaplex launched exciting new products, such as lash bond and dry shampoo, and undertakes a rebrand of their No 3 product. Nelle skillfully integrated these product launches into the TikTok and Instagram content, creating campaigns that are not only visually appealing but also effectively promote the brand's offerings.
In addition to her project management responsibilities, Nelle played a crucial role in fostering diversity and inclusion within the project. As the diversity coordinator, she ensured that TikTok shoots in the United States are inclusive and representative of various hair types, including black, afrocentric 3b - 4c hair. She also advocates for body positivity and LGBTQ+ representation in the content, making sure that Olaplex's messaging resonates with a diverse audience.
Being adept at budget management, Nelle efficiently allocated resources for Olaplex's monthly content creation. She handled the financial aspects of the project with precision, ensuring that the content quality is never compromised despite staying within budget constraints.
Another significant aspect of Nelle's role involved handling negotiations with freelancers and content creators. She worked diligently to secure fair payments for creators while also obtaining the necessary content rights for Olaplex.
