As the Project Manager for Kubbco, working with the client OLAPLEX from May 2023 to October 2023, Nelle led the dynamic and exciting OLAPLEX Hashtag Challenge on TikTok. This role encompassed a wide range of tasks, all of which were crucial in making the campaign a resounding success.
Influencer Outreach and Contracting: Nelle spearheaded the influencer outreach efforts, identifying and collaborating with top-tier influencers on TikTok who aligned with OLAPLEX's brand identity. Through her expertise in negotiation and contracting, she secured partnerships with these influencers, ensuring that the campaign's message resonated with their audience authentically.
Payment and Deliverables Tracking: To ensure smooth execution, Nelle meticulously tracked all payments and deliverables throughout the campaign. This attention to detail was vital in maintaining positive relationships with the influencers and ensuring that all aspects of the campaign were delivered on time and as promised.
Diversity and Inclusion in Brand Strategy: Recognizing the importance of diversity and inclusion, Nelle made it a priority to incorporate creators of different sizes, ages, races, and demographics into the campaign. By showcasing a variety of voices and perspectives, OLAPLEX's brand strategy became more relatable and inclusive to a broader audience.
Facilitating Meetings and Check-ins: As the driving force behind the campaign, Nelle skillfully facilitated meetings and check-ins with the key stakeholders, including OLAPLEX's internal team, the Kubbco Agency, and TikTok representatives. Her strong communication and organizational skills ensured that everyone was on the same page and that the campaign's progress remained on track.
Contracting the musician, Felix Cartal, for the Official OLAPLEX/OLAFLEX Song: The OLAPLEX Hashtag Challenge would not have been complete without a catchy and engaging official song. Drawing on the Creative Director's connections in the music industry, Nelle successfully contracted a talented musician to create the perfect soundtrack that would resonate with TikTok users and enhance the overall impact of the campaign.
Throughout the project, Nelle demonstrated exceptional leadership and a deep understanding of both the brand's objectives and the platform's unique dynamics. Her creativity, strategic thinking, and ability to bring diverse voices together led to a groundbreaking and successful campaign that positioned OLAPLEX as a trendsetting and inclusive brand on TikTok. Her contributions played a crucial role in strengthening OLAPLEX's presence and reputation in the ever-evolving world of social media marketing.
