A production touchscreen used by on-site technicians to operate CreoCore’s fan automation platform — bringing EC fans, PLC logic, and building systems together in one industrial HMI deployed across New York HVAC installations.
CreoCore is a vendor-neutral automation platform that connects EC fans with PLC control logic and building management systems. I was responsible for the HMI — the physical touchscreen interface operators use directly on the equipment.
The product runs in real HVAC installations across New York. Rather than presenting each fan as an isolated device, the HMI treats the fan array as one coordinated system. Technicians can switch operating modes, monitor live equipment data, respond to alarms, and track down problems directly from the panel.
I led the UX/UI and HMI design process from requirements gathering to production implementation. This included defining the information architecture, designing screen flows, specifying interaction and system-state behavior, building a reusable component library, and implementing the interface in Weintek EasyBuilder Pro.
The final HMI was designed for the everyday realities of HVAC work — routine operation, system commissioning, and maintenance when equipment requires attention.
