Bruce – Smart Home Control Through Gesture-Based Mobile App

Bruce redefines how users interact with their smart home systems, offering a gesture-based control system that seamlessly integrates into daily life. At the heart of this solution is the Bruce mobile app, which allows users to set up and customize gesture-based commands for their connected devices. The system is composed of three interconnected components:

Smart Rings worn on the thumb and index finger, allowing intuitive gesture control.

Mobile App for managing and customizing gestures, giving users full flexibility to tailor their commands.

Wi-Fi Hub to link gestures from the rings to various smart home devices.

To ensure a smooth and universally intuitive experience, the Bruce app and gesture interface were developed with careful attention to best practices in gestural design. Drawing on research, interactions were structured to feel as natural as forming a sentence, minimizing barriers and maximizing ease of use.
