The Brief

Richard, a manager at AMAN International Health Medical Insurance from Jakarta,Indonesia. Has commissioned me to create a logo and branding for their company. He seeks a logo that encapsulates the themes of safety, trustworthiness, and assurance, aligning with the company's mission in the insurance sector.
The company's primary focus is on providing comprehensive health insurance coverage for individuals and families seeking protection against exorbitant medical expenses. Richard specifically targets those contemplating family planning, aiming to ensure adequate health protection for themselves and their future children. Moreover, he caters to individuals who prefer personal health insurance for the security of themselves and their families, independent of workplace benefits.
Furthermore, the company intends to serve individuals with specific health needs, requiring specialized insurance coverage tailored to their conditions. Lastly, Richard aims to cater to those transitioning from parental health insurance, seeking independent health coverage for their future.
With a comprehensive understanding of their diverse target audience, the logo and branding project aims to resonate with each segment, embodying safety, reliability, and customized insurance solutions for various health-related needs.

The Time to Discuss Mood Board

The first step we took to kick off our project involved developing a mood board for visual inspiration and ensuring alignment with the project's guidelines.
Here are the initial two mood boards that were sent to the client.

After some time, Richard finally selected several types of logos that he deemed suitable and relevant to what he desires for his company's logo as a reference and inspiration for his own logo.

Selecting the Type of Typography

Let's get started with the fun part! After looking at the mood board, I started designing using dark and bold elegant colors in mind. I filled my Illustrator artboards with various fonts and explored how I could personalize the text.
I always begin my designs in black and white. Starting with color might make me biased towards a specific font just because of the color itself.
After discussing for a while, Richard chose a font that was interesting to her, namely a font called Flatory Sans. Richard chose this font because she thought it would be suitable to combine with her company's Monogram-themed Logo design.

Start Creating a Sketch

It's time for me to kick off the initial stage of sketching the logo as requested. I'll be using the Flatory Sans font as a reference to create a logo that aligns with their preferences at this early stage.
As I begin the logo design process, I'll utilize the Flatory Sans font as a guide to ensure the logo matches their desires. This step marks the beginning of crafting the initial sketches in accordance with their specifications, aiming to fulfill their vision for the logo.

After discussing and deliberating for a while about the initial sketches for the AMAN logo, we eventually settled on the final design derived from those sketches. Now, it's time for me to proceed with creating its digital version.
Following our discussion on various sketches envisioning the AMAN logo, we've reached a conclusion and finalized the design. It's now my turn to Creating these ideas into a digital format for the next phase of the logo creation process.
