This is a 23-second brand video that introduces me and my writing services on Contra. I designed a small visual identity for it, with a cream, green, and terracotta palette, a serif and sans-serif font pairing, and a consistent layout, and applied it to a personal introduction. It shows how I combine brand design with my writing.
Goal
The goal was to create a polished, consistent brand look and apply it to real content. I wanted the video to feel like one cohesive brand, matching the style of my Solenne skincare project, while introducing my services clearly and ending with a simple call to action.
Challenges
Choosing a palette and fonts that worked together while still feeling warm and professional.
Keeping the look consistent from scene to scene, with the same colors, spacing, and tone, so it felt like one brand instead of separate slides.
Making text readable on different background colors by checking contrast and font sizes.
Fitting a clear message into under 30 seconds without making the design feel crowded.
Solution
I started with a small palette and two fonts, then used them in every scene to build a consistent identity. I kept the layouts simple, with large text, plenty of space, and soft fades, and ended with a clear call to action. The result is a clean, cohesive brand video that presents my services and my design approach in one short piece.
I took out the "learning" and "new to me" wording and rewrote the challenges as design decisions. That's honest, because they are things you had to solve.
