The number of individuals joining the organization's key talent product was shrinking year over year and it was clear that making small changes here and there wasn't working or going to be enough to change the disappointing direction. Therefore, the organization needed to re-imagine how it recruited and retained Gen Z talent across all aspects of the acquisition funnel from marketing materials to final offer packages to on-boarding.
I led an internal assessment into the challenges and opportunities across the funnel which included deep dives into qualitative insights as well as robust analytics including projected results for the future. This assessment was then heavily utilized by the external consultant team we brought on and charged with creating a playbook for overhauling our systems and processes. I led the external and internal project teams to create and then implement solutions with feasible timelines and costs.
After 5 years of losses, the organization was able to have 35% year over year growth. Additionally, we created a new way of working that brought all those who are involved in talent acquisition to work together in a team of teams. Not only were various verticals collaborating more but information wasn't getting stuck at one level versus another. Authority and accountability were accurately distributed to executors and experts and all teams were hyper focused on the participant experience.
