Architecture Beyond Rendering

In architecture, we sometimes rely on drawing and collage as a way to communicate an idea, rather than relying only on visualization tools such as D5 or 3ds Max.

For this work, I was analyzing a sustainable residential complex and trying to communicate the design process I wanted to follow through collage.

I used a visual sequence of works by architects associated with High-Tech and Pragmatism, combining images of the architects with their work to create a connection from one idea to the next.

I think using Photoshop, Illustrator, and hand drawing can sometimes give an architectural idea a different kind of depth. You become responsible for every line, color, and image, and how each one contributes to communicating the idea, rather than focusing only on the final result.
