An interactive storytelling experience created for Binance and FT Studio, designed to make some of the biggest misconceptions around cryptocurrency easier and more engaging to understand.
The experience
Rather than presenting the content as a conventional article, each myth was turned into its own visual and interactive moment.
Illustration, animated statistics and different styles of data visualisation were used throughout the experience, giving every section its own character while keeping everything part of one cohesive story.
I particularly enjoyed the playfulness of this project. The layout moves away from a traditional scrolling webpage, with the main content held within a structured grid that stays within the browser viewport. A compact navigation also lets users jump directly between the different myths.
My role
I handled the creative front-end development, working with the supplied design and illustration assets and bringing them to life in the browser.
The build included:
Custom JavaScript and CSS animation
Animated SVG illustrations and statistics
Interactive data visualisations
Responsive Flexbox layouts
Section-based navigation between myths
Bespoke transitions and interactions for each story
Responsive behaviour across desktop and mobile
One of the interesting challenges was giving each myth a distinct visual treatment without making the overall experience feel fragmented.
The result was a playful, highly visual piece of branded storytelling that used interaction and motion to make a potentially complex subject much more approachable.
This project formed part of a wider series of interactive cryptocurrency stories produced for Binance and FT Studio.
