Canadian Commercial Building Maps

Printed Wayfinding Map Series

Client: Park Champ Project Type: Wayfinding & Map Design

Overview

While working at Park Champ, I designed a series of printed wayfinding maps for several commercial buildings in Canada. The maps were created using Park Champ’s brand guidelines and were physically installed in the lobby of each corresponding floor, helping visitors navigate parking areas and building access points with ease.
The buildings included:
Centennial Place
Eau Claire Tower
400 Third
Eighth Avenue Place

The Challenge

Each building required multiple maps that could:
Clearly communicate parking and access information in a physical environment
Remain legible at a distance in lobby settings
Adapt Park Champ’s brand system to different building layouts
Maintain consistency across multiple properties while addressing unique spatial needs

The Solution

For each building, I designed more than three maps, customized to different floors and use cases. All maps followed Park Champ’s visual identity while being tailored to the architectural structure of each building.
Key design decisions included:
Clean, high-contrast layouts optimized for print
Clear hierarchy and labeling for quick comprehension
Consistent iconography aligned with Park Champ’s brand
Floor-specific layouts designed for lobby placement

Buildings & Deliverables

Centennial Place: Printed lobby maps for multiple floors, highlighting parking zones and access points
Eau Claire Tower: Floor-based wayfinding maps focused on clarity and orientation
400 Third: Structured layouts emphasizing parking access and building flow
Eighth Avenue Place: Clear, branded maps designed for high-traffic lobby areas

Outcome

The printed maps provided a clear, consistent navigation system across multiple Canadian commercial buildings. Installed directly in building lobbies, they improved wayfinding for visitors and reinforced Park Champ’s brand presence in physical spaces.
