There is an issue, and its that food waste is becoming the new norm. The U.K. produced 9.5 to 10.2 million tonnes of annual food waste, the U.S.A. has produced roughly 74 million tons (442 lbs/person) in 2025. The challenge here was to design a system that encourages the art of food crafting, and using up what you have, rather than creating a sense of panic that typically leads to wastage.
