Project Overview:

As Senior Marketing & Project Manager at Oracle, I managed up to 15 simultaneous demand generation campaigns each quarter, targeting the SMB market across Austria, Slovenia, and the CEE region. The project required adapting strategies to cultural and market maturity differences, balancing indirect and direct sales approaches, and meeting ambitious pipeline targets despite budget constraints. These efforts resulted in over $600K in quarterly pipeline growth and a 10% annual increase in SMB sales.

Strategic Campaign Leader: Designed and executed multi-channel demand generation strategies tailored to diverse regional needs.
Matrix Project Manager: Led cross-functional teams in a multicultural, matrix environment, balancing input from stakeholders across varying markets.
Cultural Adaptation Specialist: Adjusted communication and project management styles to bridge differences between direct (Austria) and indirect (CEE) cultural approaches.
Budget Maximizer: Aligned campaigns to optimize reduced budgets while ensuring full strategic product coverage.
Stakeholder Liaison: Navigated differing stakeholder expectations, advocating for tailored approaches to Austria and Eastern Europe.

Challenges and Solutions:

1. Cultural and Market Diversity:
Challenge: Austria’s mature market required high-quality deliverables and a direct communication style, while CEE markets were less developed, favored lower-cost solutions, and preferred indirect communication.
Solution: Adapted my project management approach to incorporate contingency planning and an indirect communication style for CEE. Advocated for higher-quality standards in Austria while finding balanced solutions for both regions.
2. Rapid Go-To-Market Adjustments:
Challenge: A sudden go-to-market shift in Q1 required lead generation within one month to meet pipeline targets.
Solution: Collaborated with a marketing agency to bundle campaigns, increasing efficiency and accelerating lead generation.
3. Budget Constraints vs. High Expectations:
Challenge: Marketing budgets were reduced, but pipeline targets and strategic product coverage remained unchanged.
Solution: Developed cost-effective campaigns that maximized ROI, aligning digital, event, and telemarketing efforts to stretch resources while maintaining impact.
4. Stakeholder Alignment Across Markets:
Challenge: Stakeholders struggled to understand the unique needs of Austria versus Eastern Europe, creating friction in campaign execution and quality expectations.
Solution: Maintained open communication and data-backed insights to diplomatically highlight the need for differentiated strategies and quality standards across regions.
5. Quality Standards in Deliverables:
Challenge: Agencies producing lower-quality materials were acceptable in CEE but not in Austria, requiring continuous quality oversight.
Solution: Established clear benchmarks and ensured strict quality control for all deliverables, tailoring standards to regional expectations.
