The challenge

Chuck Peters built Ambit as a community app connecting St. Paul residents with local businesses and events.
Then Grand Old Day arrived. The street festival pulls 250,000 people onto a single avenue. Ambit had to be live by June 1st with only 10 weeks to prepare. No flexibility on the launch date.

What we built

Progressive web app installed via QR code on city posters
Interactive map covering vendors, stages, food, parking, and ATMs
Full festival lineup with bookmarking functionality
Push notifications tied to set times, firing 15 minutes before bookmarked bands played
Clickable vendor addresses opening phone directions
Built in Bubble.
