Project Overview: Website for ForeClosure grant application

Project Goals:

StopForClosure is a digital platform designed to support individuals and families facing foreclosure by helping them navigate grant application processes. The website offers resources and tools to empower users to apply for foreclosure-prevention grants and access counseling services. The platform combines user-friendly design and resourceful content to provide a lifeline to those at risk of losing their homes.

Pain Points:

Lack of Knowledge: Many individuals are unaware of grants or resources available to them when facing foreclosure.
Complex Application Process: The grant application process is often confusing and difficult to navigate without guidance.
Emotional Toll: Users facing foreclosure may be dealing with stress and anxiety, requiring a design that provides support and reassurance.
Digital Accessibility Needs: Ensuring the site is accessible to users of varying digital literacy levels was essential to reach a broad audience effectively.

My Solution:

Guided Application Process: Created a step-by-step application form divided into clear stages. Each stage provides instructions, example responses, and tips to help users complete the form accurately.
Supportive User Experience: Designed a calming and user-friendly interface with reassuring messaging and support prompts to reduce stress during the application process.

Key Metrics:

The following metrics will be measured via the impact and success of the StopForClosure website:
Application Completion Rate: Measured the number of users who successfully completed the grant application process.
User Engagement: Tracked visits, time spent on resource pages, and interaction with educational content.
User Satisfaction: Collected feedback through post-application surveys and support inquiries to assess user satisfaction.
Support Request Volume: Monitored the number and nature of support requests to improve guidance and identify user pain points.

Conclusion

The StopForClosure website has successfully provided individuals facing foreclosure with the tools, resources, and support needed to access grant applications and counseling services. By simplifying the application process, addressing emotional needs, and improving access to crucial resources, the platform has made a positive impact on many lives. The project highlights the importance of combining empathetic design with effective, actionable content to create a platform that truly serves its community.
