Client: Word Tonic Gen Z learning hub and community
Goal: Uplift and champion Word Tonic's Muslim community
Insight: Word Tonic is an inclusive and diverse community and I wanted to help showcase that by suggesting we celebrate our Muslim Community during Ramadan. This also allows Muslim non-members following Word Tonic's socials to know they wouldn't be alone when they choose to join and that they're welcome and safe at Word Tonic.
Strategy: I brought together Word Tonic's Muslim members and sought to create a few posts for Word Tonic's Instagram and LinkedIn: a guide to Ramadan which I wrote & designed to help educate non-Muslims about Ramadan and how they can support their Muslim peers or anyone who's chosen to fast. This also includes some memes and cute graphics to help keep Word Tonic's Gen Z appeal whilst not using Word Tonic's usual in-your-face inflammatory tone of voice so the post can adhere to Ramadan's mindful and humble standings.
The second is a series of interviews, and individual posts for each Muslim member allowing insight into their lives during Ramadan, their lives as creatives, and how Islam impacts everything they do. This allows further education on Ramadan and Islam but also opens the more human and personal side.
The last is a series of creative posts, again individual posts for each Muslim member who chose to take part which allowed Muslim members to create a poem or short prose about Ramadan or a piece of copy advertising a Muslim brand or something they look forward to in Ramadan.
I also made sure to design each post so they adhered to Word Tonic's visual branding whilst also incorporating elements of Islamic art via Canva
