The Nature Conservancy’s 2030 Goals are the organization’s six focussed plans for tackling climate change and biodiversity loss. This iconography system was born out of a need for consistent icon use to communicate the organization's priorities and is an extension of the brand’s core visual elements.
These bite-sized, visual shortcuts are designed to work across a variety of physical and digital scales and environments, be easily comprehensible to the audience, and articulate a cohesive visual language.
To maintain uniformity and readability, the defined grid and size used for the iconography dictates that each icon strictly adheres to established guidelines.
The icons bring ideas, objects, and actions to life with visual metaphors for both simple and complex concepts. Using consistent strokes and negative space, unique glyphs and identifiable symbols, the icon style harmoniously pairs with TNC's type families, resulting in uniform brand elements.
