Prout's Directory Platform

Prout is a social and support platform dedicated to fostering connections within the LGBTQ+ community to inclusive, affirming service providers across four key areas: Healthcare, Legal, Housing, and Jobs.

They approached Pixel and Code to help build a directory platform that will allow users to submit listings for inclusive critical service providers.

Prout already had a website done previously but it was not working too well, so we based the new website on the structure of the previous site and added more features and functions (like search and filter) and improved on the user interface and user experience.

We made use of custom post types and custom fields to build the backend structure of the platform.

Notable features of the platform include:

Member sign up and login

SMS OTP during registration

User dashboard to update profile and edit submitted listings

Front-end submission forms for listings

Search and filter listings

Different layouts for each custom post type

Reviews for healthcare and legal listings

Admin approval for reviews

Members-only gated website (only certain pages like About and FAQ are public)
