The task

I was contracted to create a website for a multi-branch car repair shop. The task was to appeal to the middle-upper class demographic and get inbound calls via the website. The market was very saturated but we discovered that there is very little differentiation, so there was a chance to appeal to more picky buyers. There was an old website, but it was not bringing the right results.

Challenge

Fist of all, having talked to the client and analyzing the leads, it became clear that people were eager to get a quote, and if not given the option, they would become impatient and leave. However when given flat pricing, clients would afterwards leave negative reviews when the pricing would increase when some additional issues were discovered. So it was decided to create a separate quote calculator for each service, as well as an option for calling the office.

Implementation

The website itself had to be simple and fast, because most clients would view the site from mobile. But we also had to fit in a good amount of text for SEO and marketing reasons. And additionally, during different seasons, the content and marketing materials would change. So I created automatically changing content by different seasons: winter-spring and summer-fall. The final design reflects all those considerations, having the right luxury aesthetic, being straight to the point but also showing a lot of assurance in the service quality and professionalism.
