Art direction for a restaurant branding campaign (concept)

A spec project exploring how AI-assisted art direction can build a complete visual identity for a restaurant brand. No client, no real venue. The goal was to develop a cohesive campaign system: lifestyle photography, editorial imagery, character casting, packaging design, and brand storytelling, all generated and art directed using ChatGPT.

What the concept covers

Lifestyle and editorial imagery — warm, atmospheric scenes that establish the restaurant's mood, lighting, and visual tone
Food photography direction — plating, styling, and composition concepts for menu hero shots
Packaging design — branded packaging concepts art directed to sit within the wider visual system
Character casting — staff and patron imagery that gives the brand a human face and a sense of place
Brand storytelling — a visual narrative that ties the campaign together across social, print, and in-venue touchpoints

How it was made

Every image was art directed and generated using ChatGPT. The process mirrors how I'd approach a real restaurant brief: defining the brand personality first, then building out a visual system across food, people, packaging, and space.

Why this kind of project matters

Restaurants often struggle to build a consistent visual identity across channels. This concept demonstrates how AI art direction can produce a full campaign suite, from social content to menu imagery to packaging to in-venue signage, with a unified look and feel. It's the same approach I bring to real hospitality and food brand clients.
