It was founded in 2017 by Arthur Britto and David Schwartz, who are also co-founders of Ripple, a leading cryptocurrency platform. It is based in Oakland, California, USA.

They reached out wanting to refresh their brand with several Powerpoint Presentations to attract new investors. From then, PolySign has raised over $150 million in funding from investors such as Cowen Digital, Brevan Howard and GSR.
