Rouze is a female-founded startup based in Amsterdam where to find sexy audio stories to help you get in the mood.

We know about the rise in popularity of podcasts, but audio erotica is having its moment too. Eva de Visser, founder of Rouze is trying to connect (and keep) women all over the world in touch with their sexuality through fantasy.

The objective of our collaboration was to create a new digital experience for their listeners, with a better mobile experience to increase onversions. After a design sprint in which we defined the concept for the app including the strategic objectives, the target audience, and user journeys/stories, we defined the main MVP functionalities.

Inspired by the immersive quality of Rouze’s audio stories and from the new brand identity developed by the agency Dog & Pony, the digital design work wants to make the listening experience complete both from the fruition of the content and a visual consistency point of view.

The main characteristic of the visual identity was the use of creative backgrounds based on a mix of “sexy” shapes and gradients, the challenge to put them on the digital experience was to find the right balance between the colorful covers of all the audio stories and the readability of the website. In the end, the different use of the gradients we chose allows listeners to enter into different worlds page by page.

The design system is elegant and provocative and is able to maintain the consistency of the branding without seeming too heavy.
