Cutting a Law Firm's Website Load Time from 31 Seconds to 2 Seconds

The client J Caleb Moore Law is a US law firm whose website is a key source of new client inquiries.
The challenge The site took 31 seconds to load and scored 56 on Google's mobile performance test. Most visitors leave a page that takes more than three seconds, so the firm was likely losing potential clients before they ever saw the site, and the slow speed was hurting its search rankings too. The code turned out to be the core problem: the homepage was a large block of raw HTML pasted into WordPress, loading a development-only styling tool live in the browser, along with duplicate plugins and heavy files that blocked the page from appearing.
What I did
Audited the site with Pingdom and Google PageSpeed Insights to pinpoint exactly what was slowing it down
Traced the biggest delays to render-blocking scripts and styles, oversized images, and no caching at all
Set up and carefully tuned LiteSpeed Cache: page and browser caching, minified CSS and JavaScript, deferred scripts, lazy-loaded images, and WebP image compression
Rolled out changes one at a time and tested after each, so speed improved without breaking the site's layout or contact forms
Explained the findings to the client in plain language throughout, so he always knew what was changing and why
The result Load time dropped from 31 seconds to about 2 seconds, roughly 15 times faster. Visitors now see the firm's site almost immediately instead of waiting half a minute.
