It is a segment of the Barcelona Caribe hotel, a personal architectural proposal to study the characteristics of tourist and tropical architecture.
The project is located in the coastal zone of the Barcelona Caribe Urban Plan, in the Caicara sector of Barcelona, Anzoategui state, Venezuela. Its is implanted in an area of 43,000m2 on the shores of the Caribbean Sea.
The Bungalows occupy an area of 2000m2. As a design perspective, it was sought to generate a module that would interact with the hotel's recreational areas, the surrounding nature and that would connect to other housing units.
As a result, a set of modules is proposed that contains two (2) housing units each one of 100m2 distributed in two(2) levels and with a capacity for 4 and 6 people. Each unit is visually and functionally connected with recreational and rest areas.
Regarding the materials, concrete and wood are proposed as the main ones, these being easy access in the locality and in turn suppose less maintenance than other materials according to the area's weather conditions.
The vegetation and tropical colors are also an important part of the project, intervening to give the sensation of contact with nature at internal and external spaces.
