ROUNDABOUT LANDSCAPE

The roundabout project is designed for Las Villas urbanization, Lecheria, Anzoategui, Venezuela; a residence of single-family homes with vehicle return roundabouts at the end of each block of homes.

Each block is made up of between 6 and 8 houses. The climate of the sector is tropical dry, with the permanent presence of sea breeze and sand.

The project is made up for three proposals differentiated by their usefulness and response to the needs of immediate homes.

ROUNDABOUT #1:

For this, it was sought to respect and highlight the urban utility of the roundabout, and green participates as a beautifier.

As a design strategy, the roundabout was proposed as a slope and though this is sought to "crown and highlight the center", achieved through lamps and native vegetation that embrace it and highlight its slope.

Highlights the center as a point of union and as a focal point between the group of houses.

ROUNDABOUT #2:

As a design strategy, the starting point is the extension of the curved lines that, when entering the interior of the circle, generate passage spaces that connect one point of the diameter and another.

We classify the usefulness of this proposal as average due to the fact that spaces are generated for neighbors, and garden areas averaged in terms of the intervention area. The spaces of permanence and areas of passage are differentiated by the materials that contrast in turn with the green that surrounds it.

The resulting proposal made up green spaces, seating areas and transitional walkways.

ROUNDABOUT #3:

Among the three proposals is this one in which the utility of being and living together predominates.

The design of the same part of the arrangement of strategic nodes according to the location of each house, these flow receivers invite the neighbors to live the space. This is made up of Park areas, a residence area, walkways and the garden as the culmination of each one of them, from our perspective this proposal manages to connect the private urban space with the landscaping to strengthen the link between the immediate users.

The vegetation proposed for each of the roundabout belongs to local species and the materials proposed are easily accessible.
