Did you know that you have more control over your thoughts than you realised?
''Whattttt?'' I hear you say
"Jade, so you’re telling me these negative thoughts that are going around in my head. I can control them? The thoughts of fear, rejection, self doubt and comparison are a choice????"
YES I am. You can choose which thoughts you decide to pay attention to and which thoughts you choose not to focus on.
Well, kind of....hear me out here and I'll explain it to you properly
You see your thoughts that pop up in your mind, tend to happen on auto - pilot and you generally do it without even being aware. However, your mind, as annoying as this is, tends to repeat the same thoughts over and over again. Yep, thats right....so most of the thoughts and I mean MOST (over 90%) of your thoughts are pretty much the same thoughts that you thought yesterday.
Your mind is in a hamster wheel on repeat....LITERALLY
Think of it as an annoying song in the background on loop playing over and over again.
Your thoughts pop into your mind and just like that before you know it they just run.
It's almost as if they are a headless chicken aimlessly running around in a frenzy and yet strangely at the same time, they are predictable AF
You see, the mind loves routine and comfort. It LOVES efficiency.
It is wired for survival and efficiency which means it likes to do the same thing over and over.
Now this is a blessing if you're trying to learn a new skill but if you are stuck in a loop of negative thought it can be a curse and even tormenting.
But here's the thing and this is the empowering part so keep reading......YOU GET TO CHOOSE WHICH THOUGHTS YOU REPEAT OVER AND OVER
Yep you get to choose which thoughts repeat and which ones stay in the background.
The way you get to do this is to remember that it's simply a matter of you choosing what thoughts you want to focus on.
The more you focus on a thought .....the truer the thought becomes.
I'll say that again.
The more you focus on a thought......the truer the thought becomes.
Then it turns from a thought to a belief and if you have it as a belief, your mind will choose to see it as a truth.
BUT JUST BECAUSE YOU BELIEVE IT DOESN'T MEAN ITS TRUE.
For example if you keep telling yourself...... "I'm not capable, I'm not smart, I'm not clever"
Even if you were actually the smartest woman on this Earth, if you believe you are not smart or clever, then you will believe it and see it as your truth.
Then you will live your life according to this!!!
When we focus on the thoughts that serve us more, we AMPLIFY those thoughts instead.
It goes like this....
Your thoughts become feelings.
Our feelings affect the actions that we take and the decisions that we make.
The decisions we make and the action we take create your LIFE!!!
As you’re entering 2024 I challenge you to filter your mind without judgement. Any time you find your mind wandering off on a trail of thought, look at where your thoughts go.
Don’t try to change them right away, just observe and listen, no judgement whatsover and if you have a journal write it all down!
This is a powerful way to keep track of your thoughts and change the narrative.
This is how you change your life and create epic transformation and the best thing is that you get to gift yourself peace of mind because you no longer are captive to your own thoughts.
