Introduction

Maison Dumie is a premium lifestyle brand built around jewellery, fragrance, and fashion. The name Maison, French for “house,” gives the brand the structure and authority of a fashion house, allowing multiple product categories to exist under one identity.
The brand was built for a founder who wanted her business to feel elevated, personal, and distinctly hers. Targeting modern men and women who value aesthetics and quality, Maison Dumie was positioned as an affordable luxury brand that feels expensive without being out of reach.
The tagline, “Feel, Wear & Own the room,” connects the brand’s three core offerings and communicates the confidence of a person who is fully put together.

Challenge

The biggest challenge was building a brand that could hold two very different product worlds, jewellery and fragrance, without feeling split or inconsistent.
The brand needed a clear idea that could naturally connect both categories. Colour was another challenge. The client wanted something genuinely different from the brands already saturating the market. Burgundy and gold are common in luxury jewellery and fragrance branding, but their heavy use makes it difficult to create distinction.
Maison Dumie needed a visual identity that could communicate luxury clearly while standing apart from this familiar direction.

Solution

The foundation of the solution was finding the feeling that connected every product Maison Dumie sells. Jewellery adorns. Perfume announces. Fashion completes. Together, they serve people who are intentional about how they show up. That shared purpose became the creative anchor for the brand.
Dark Petrol was chosen as the main colour, paired with Champagne Gold and soft Ivory. The deep teal-navy created a distinct position within the jewellery and fragrance market while communicating luxury, depth, and sophistication. It also worked equally well across women's jewellery and men's fragrance.
The MD monogram became the brand's visual signature, using an interlocked letterform, circular frame, and subtle star detail to reference the jewellery world without being literal. Cormorant Garamond was used for the wordmark, paired with DM Sans for supporting text.
The identity was then applied across packaging, business cards, product photography direction, and digital assets, creating a consistent system for WhatsApp, the brand's primary selling platform, and social media.

Benefit

The brand direction gave Maison Dumie a visual world that communicates its value before a single product is seen.
The Dark Petrol and Champagne Gold palette positions the brand as premium, while the Cormorant Garamond wordmark gives it a fashion house aesthetic. The dark navy packaging and shopping bags, finished with the MD monogram in gold, turn every product delivery into a brand experience.
Because the system was built around one consistent feeling, the jewellery and fragrance photography feel like they belong in the same universe. For a brand selling across WhatsApp and social media, that visual consistency helps the business stand out, get noticed, saved, and remembered.

Results

Maison Dumie launched with a complete brand identity that communicates luxury, intention, and personality from the first impression. The name, colour system, typography, monogram, and tagline work together to tell a clear story about who the brand is and who it is built for.
The brand now sits in a distinct visual space, apart from the burgundy-and-gold brands that dominate the jewellery market and the generic fragrance aesthetics common in affordable luxury.
That distinction came from building the identity around a real idea rather than a familiar template.
Maison Dumie does not look like a new brand finding its footing. It looks like a brand that has always known exactly what it is.
