Core Bar is a premium protein bar brand that celebrates pure ingredients, bold flavors, and the emotional memories created with every bite. In a market saturated with functional but bland products, Core Bar needed a digital presence that could instantly communicate its unique value proposition: a perfect balance of health and indulgence.

My role

As the sole designer on this project, I was responsible for the end-to-end user experience and interface design. My goal was to translate the Core Bar brand philosophy into an intuitive and aesthetically pleasing e-commerce platform.
UX Design: Structuring the information architecture, mapping the user flow from product discovery to checkout, and creating detailed wireframes.
UI Design: Crafting the visual identity of the website, developing a design system (colors, typography, UI kit), and designing all key pages for a fully responsive experience across all devices.

The brief

Design a premium website that conveys taste, emotions, and memories through visual storytelling—while delivering an effortless, intuitive ordering experience. In a crowded market of functional health products, Core Bar needed to stand out not just for its ingredients, but for the experience it promised.

Challenge

1) To transcend the typical e-commerce grid and create a sensory digital experience. The design had to visually communicate the crunch of almonds, the zest of lemon, and the nostalgic comfort of a well-crafted treat.
2) To ensure that this rich, immersive narrative didn't compromise usability. The user journey—from exploring flavors to customizing a box and checking out had to be simple, fast, and frictionless on any device.

Key Features

To bring the Core Bar vision to life, the design focuses on four key features that blend brand storytelling with e-commerce efficiency:
Immersive Flavor Profiles: Dynamic "digital tasting rooms" that use rich visuals and evocative copy to translate taste, texture, and emotion into a compelling digital experience.
Guided "Create Your Box" Flow: An interactive and intuitive journey that transforms the ordering process into an engaging act of personalization, eliminating decision fatigue and boosting conversion.
Premium & Clean Aesthetic: A minimalist, editorial-inspired layout that uses refined typography and generous whitespace to create a sense of luxury, build brand trust, and let the product shine.
Strategic Calls-to-Action: A seamless integration of brand storytelling with clear, logical CTAs, ensuring the path to purchase is always intuitive and accessible without disrupting the user's journey.

Color palette

Every color in this palette was chosen with intention. The goal was to create a visual language that communicates the core values of the Core Bar brand: natural ingredients, premium quality, and emotional warmth. The palette is built on a foundation of organic, "edible" hues that inspire trust and appetite.
