The Halifax Common is a historic 260-year-old public space dedicated to gathering, playing, and connecting. With urban development threatening this vital green space, the mission to protect it is more urgent than ever.
We partnered with their team to deliver a comprehensive brand identity and custom web design. By combining strategic UI/UX design, responsive web development, and non-profit branding, we built a digital platform aimed at revitalizing the landmark. The new user experience is fully optimized to drive community memberships, boost engagement, and fuel donation campaigns.
The Challenge
The organization needed a modernized visual identity that could bridge the gap between historic preservation and urgent, modern advocacy. They required a digital platform that would not only inform the public but actively convert passive visitors into engaged members and donors.
The Solution
We built a brand system rooted deeply in the landscape itself. The color palette extracts the core elements of the park - Forest Green for the land, Sunny Yellow for the energy, and Sky Blue for the open air.
We paired this natural palette with bold, condensed typography that nods to activist posters, ensuring the message Green Space Grows Here stands out across both digital screens and physical environments. The new responsive website simplifies the user journey, making it effortless to access news, view development plans, and support the cause.
