ONEderful Finance is a patient financing platform that helps people access medical care by connecting a single application to a network of lenders.

Clinics use the platform to guide patients through financing options, manage applications, and track approval progress across multiple lenders.

I was brought in during a growth phase as the company began landing larger enterprise clients and needed to refine the product experience based on real user feedback.

The core platform and visual language were already live, but the experience needed refinement.

Clinic staff rely on the software to manage patient financing applications. As usage increased, it became clear that certain workflows were creating friction. Important actions were easy to miss, application states were not always obvious, and staff sometimes struggled to know exactly what required attention next.

The goal was not to redesign the platform. It was to make the existing product clearer and easier to operate under real-world conditions.

Working directly with the CEO, we translated user feedback into targeted UX improvements across key flows.

Rather than starting from scratch, the focus was on refining and strengthening the existing system.

Key updates included:

Introducing a Pending Tasks section on the dashboard to surface time-sensitive actions

Simplifying application detail pages to make next steps more obvious

Improving lender selection and approval status flows

Refining internal messaging between clinics and the platform

Clarifying navigation and hierarchy across core interfaces

One of the most impactful changes was the task-based dashboard updates, which ensured clinic staff could immediately see what required attention. This reduced the risk of missed applications and helped teams manage patient financing more confidently.

Throughout the project, new components were introduced where needed, but most improvements focused on refining the existing system to keep development efficient and consistent.

The goal was always clarity, not cosmetic change.

The improvements helped transform the platform from a functional system into a clearer operational tool for clinic teams.

By simplifying workflows and making critical actions visible, the product better supported real-world usage as the company expanded toward enterprise clients.
