ProjectDiscovery had the trust of the InfoSec community, now it needed the UX to scale. I led design across its cloud platform, bridging hacker-grade tools with enterprise-grade workflows. From MVP to multi-tenant RBAC, I helped bring clarity and usability to one of security’s fastest-growing platforms.
The Problem
ProjectDiscovery was one of the most respected open-source names in InfoSec, known for its powerful tools like Nuclei. But as the company expanded into cloud products, it needed to evolve from CLI-first to UI-first translating trusted OSS tools into enterprise-grade experiences. The challenge was to build intuitive, scalable interfaces for security teams while preserving the speed and flexibility their OSS community expected.
My Role
As Founding Designer, I led product vision and design strategy across ProjectDiscovery’s growing suite of cloud offerings. Key contributions included:
Owning end-to-end UX and UI for Nuclei Cloud and the ProjectDiscovery Cloud Platform
Designing core features like dashboards, real-time alerting, RBAC, and multi-tenant environments
Creating a scalable design system and visual identity that bridged open-source familiarity with enterprise polish
Collaborating cross-functionally with engineers, founders, and the InfoSec community to shape product direction
Evolving both platforms from early MVPs into mature, enterprise-ready products used by security teams at scale
Outcome
The design work helped ProjectDiscovery expand from a beloved OSS project into a serious contender in the enterprise security space. The cloud platform now supports security teams with clean workflows, powerful automation, and a UI that feels built for both hackers and CISOs. The foundation set the stage for scale while staying true to its open-source roots.
