Case Study: For Life Photography

High-fidelity UI design in under 24 hours

Role: UI/UX Designer Concept: Wedding Photography Portfolio Tools: Figma, Relume Library Timeline: 1 Day (Sprint) Deliverables: Desktop & Mobile High-Fidelity Prototypes

1. The Objective: Speed Without Sacrifice

While many projects require weeks of deep discovery and custom development (like my work for Strength of Eden), real-world business needs sometimes demand immediate turnaround.
The goal for For Life Photography was to simulate a high-pressure scenario: A client needs a stunning, functional landing page ready for a bridal expo the next day. The challenge was to deliver a premium, "timeless" aesthetic without the long lead time of a fully custom build.

2. The Process: The "Relume" Sprint

To achieve a professional result in mere hours, I utilized a component-driven workflow.
Wireframing: I used the Relume Library to rapidly architect a layout based on UX best practices for service providers. This allowed me to skip the "blank canvas" paralysis and immediately establish a conversion-focused structure (Hero > Value Prop > Social Proof > Portfolio > CTA).
Styling in Figma: Once the wireframes were set, I applied a custom style guide. I moved away from the standard "light mode" default, opting for a Dark Romantic aesthetic.
Responsive Adaptation: I simultaneously designed the Mobile interface to ensure the heavy imagery and typography scaled down legibly for handheld devices.

3. Design Decisions

The visual language needed to feel expensive, despite the quick turnaround.
Dark Mode Elegance: I used a deep mahogany/chocolate background (#2E1010 range) rather than standard black. This creates a warmer, more inviting atmosphere suitable for wedding imagery.
Typography: A high-contrast pairing of a bold Serif for headlines (evoking tradition and class) and a clean Sans-Serif for readability.
The "Portfolio" Slider: To maximize vertical space, I designed a horizontal scroll interaction for the gallery section, allowing users to browse multiple images without dominating the page length.

4. The Result

By leveraging Figma and Relume, I went from concept to final pixel-perfect prototype in under 6 hours.
The final design is a fully responsive, cohesive landing page that looks like it took weeks to craft. It features clear calls to action ("Inquire," "Book"), strong social proof, and an immersive visual hierarchy.

Designer's Note: Versatility in Action

My portfolio includes deep-dive custom builds (like Strength of Eden) that focus on unique brand storytelling. However, For Life Photography demonstrates my ability to shift gears. When a client needs "speed to market," I can utilize rapid-deployment tools to build clean, effective, and beautiful sites in a single day.
