Migrating Ahead Health from Framer to a Modern Web App Stack
Ahead Health is building Europe's most advanced preventive health network, combining Swiss medical expertise with AI-powered diagnostics.
Their platform offers full-body MRIs, advanced blood tests, and personalized health reports to help people take control of their health early.
The existing marketing site was built in Framer. It had served its purpose well, but the team needed a production-grade platform with real flexibility: server-side rendering, a headless CMS for content management, and a component architecture that could scale alongside the product.
I helped with the migration to a fully modern stack built on Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and Payload CMS.
What I Did
Rebuilt sections and pages, moving from Framer's no-code environment to a Next.js application with Tailwind CSS for styling and Payload CMS for content management. This gave the team full control over performance, SEO, and content workflows.
Design and development in code: I designed and built various sections and pages directly in code. Rather than working from static mockups, I iterated on layout, typography, and interaction design live in the codebase.
AI-assisted development: A key part of the workflow was integrating modern AI tooling into the development process. I used Claude Code and Codex to accelerate iteration on UI components, refine design decisions in-code, and move faster between concept and production. This allowed for rapid prototyping and high-quality output without sacrificing attention to detail.
The Result
The result is a clean, performant site with a maintainable codebase, flexible content editing through Payload CMS, and a design system rooted in Tailwind utility classes. The site features rich interactive sections including service carousels, biomarker visualizations, scroll interactions, dynamic health report previews, partner logo marquees, and responsive layouts optimized for every device.
